Getting too cold to roof properly

While driving the other day towards a home inspection I saw some roofers putting on a roof. It was in the mid 30's that morning, too cold for the shingles to warm up enough to seal together. I did not stop at the house nor do I know the situation with the roof. It may have been absolutely necessary to redo the roof due to a tree damaging it or perhaps that had no choice for what ever reason.

When the weather gets colder it becomes less likely that the shingles will seal down and therefore more likely that they can get damaged from wind.

Ask your roofer not only price but also if the shingles will seal properly and then check with the manufacturers recommendation for temperature.

If you feel that you have been screwed than contact a roof inspection person to give an unbiased roof inspection. If in the central Ohio area contact this Columbus Ohio Roof inspection for help and recommendations.
